Profitnet member short-listed for Sussex Business Award

The shortlist for this year’s Sussex Business Awards has been announced. Judges have chosen 29 finalists with Profitnet member, Brighton & Hove Business Community Partnership (BCP) amongst them.

Twelve trophies are up for grabs, including the Best New Business Award, Entrepreneur of the Year and the University of Brighton sponsored category, the University-Enterprise Award.

BCP was shorlisted for the University-Enterprise Award, a category celebrating positive partnerships between companies and a Sussex-based university.  The University of Brighton has been working closely with BCP to support the growing social enterprise sector in Sussex.

Over 150 companies from all over the county entered the awards, making 2007/08 a record breaking year for Sussex Business Awards.

Chairman of the judges, Malcolm Diamond, said: “We had an exciting yet difficult task this year. The finalists proved themselves the best in their field and we were delighted by the extra high quality of all candidates.”

Winners will be announced at the Sussex Business event of the year, Sussex Business Awards, at the Copthorne Effingham Park Hotel on 22nd November.
